Between the Drawing in Space exhibit last winter and Hamilton's recent stop over the summer, Des Moines has played host to some stellar cultural attractions. Next up? Albesila.

Remember Arboria? This installation is from the same group of artists and it sounds like this one is bigger. In fact, it's half the size of a football field! Per the press release, "This inflatable walk-in monument.....offers a phenomenon of light, color and sound. Evoking a sense of wonder for people of all ages..." Uhhhh, that sounds so cool, right?

Just like last time, this structure will be situated on Cowles Commons and tickets are $5 day-of standby or $15 in advanced with a reserved entry time. The line got long last time, so I suggest purchasing in advanced. Tickets go on sale Wednesday August 22nd at 9:00 a.m.

I told everyone about Arboria and I'll do the same with Albesila! The experience is so unique and I can't really compare it to anything. But if I had to compare it to something I'd say it's walking inside of a Coldplay song :) Make sure to visit!
